The Math That Changes Everything

Say you post one long video and three shorts a week. Shot one at a time, that is four separate setups a week: travel, lighting, framing, sound checks, every single time. Batch it instead: one 4-hour session at CT25 covers four long videos and a stack of shorts, because the setup happens once and the lights never move between takes.

At Rs 3,540 for the half day, four videos work out to under Rs 900 each, recorded on 4K cameras with an operator, in a room built for sound.

How a 4-Hour Batch Session Actually Runs

• First 20 minutes: settle in, mic check, one look test on camera. Our operator handles all of it while you review your notes.
• Hour 1 to 2: record your two strongest pieces first, while energy is highest.
• Short break, outfit change: a different shirt makes content look like it was shot on different days. Every batch recorder uses this trick.
• Hour 2 to 3: two more pieces, or one long interview.
• Final 30 to 45 minutes: vertical shorts. Hooks, reactions and clips straight to camera while everything is still lit.

What to Prepare Before You Arrive

• Bullet-point outlines, not full scripts. Reading kills delivery; talking points keep it natural.
• One outfit change per two pieces of content.
• A pen drive or hard drive for your raw files, which you take home the same day.
• A shot list of any b-roll you want: hands, wide shots, detail cuts.

The Editing Pipeline

Leave with raw files and edit yourself, or hand it to us: long videos are edited at Rs 3,000 per video and shorts at Rs 750 each, with audio cleanup, captions and colour grade. Three Batch Stacks, Depending on What You Publish

The podcast stack. Two to four episodes in one sitting, guests batched in pairs. Record the intros and outros separately at the end, when you know what each episode actually became. The reels stack. Ten to fifteen vertical clips across our five sets with outfit changes between groups. This is its own discipline, with its own preparation, covered fully in the reel shooting studio guide.

The mixed stack. The most common for founders and professionals: one long flagship video in the first half, then a run of shorts pulled from the same talking points in the second. The long video feeds YouTube and your website; the shorts feed Instagram and LinkedIn all month.

A Worked Example: One Session, One Month

Take a consultant posting twice a week. One Saturday morning session, 10 AM to 2 PM: two long videos recorded in the first two hours, eight shorts in the second two. Studio cost Rs 3,540. Edited by us, that is Rs 6,000 for the two long videos and Rs 6,000 for the eight shorts, Rs 15,540 for a complete month of professional content, or roughly Rs 1,550 per published piece. The Mistakes That Shrink a Batch

• Scripting word for word. Reading kills delivery and doubles takes. Outlines beat scripts.
• Deciding inside the room. Every minute spent choosing topics in the studio is a minute of paid silence. Arrive with the list ordered.
• Recording easiest first. Your first hour has your best energy; spend it on the content that matters most.
• Skipping the outfit changes. Same shirt in every video quietly announces that everything was shot in one day.
• Booking two hours. The minimum is four for a reason: an hour disappears into settling and pickups in every session, whatever its length. In a four hour block that overhead is a quarter of your time, not half.

How Often Should You Batch?

Monthly is the rhythm that works for most people. One session, four to twelve pieces of content, published across the following weeks. It is frequent enough that your material stays current, and rare enough that it survives contact with a real calendar. Creators who promise themselves weekly shoots usually stop shooting by week six; creators who block one recurring half day a month are often still publishing a year later.
